We can take care of all the arrangements
At Clive Pugh Funeral Directors, we want to make arrangements simple for you.
We take great pride in caring for our families and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. While honouring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
Many cultures and religions have special funeral service traditions and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. This is a moment for you and your family and we are honoured to help you in any way that we can.
With you every step of the way
Date and Time
Following registration, a date and time can then be arranged.
Cremation or Burial
In many cases a loved one will have left their own specific preference. Once the decision for a cremation or burial has been made, a venue for the service and order of events can be agreed upon.
Chapel of Rest
Our private chapel is available for you to spend time with your loved one, also allowing your relatives and friends the chance to say "goodbye".
The Funeral Service
We will liaise with the Clergy, Humanist Minister or Celebrant of your choice. Alternatively, if no specific Minister is requested we can suggest a Minister who will guide you through the order of service. The readings, hymns and eulogies will all be discussed.
Coffins, Caskets and Urns
We offer a large range of traditional coffins, caskets and urns. You can choose from many different styles and we offer a range of price points. Should you want to offer a unique tribute to your loved one, ask us about our customisation options. If you are looking for something in particular, please let us know. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Vehicles
We take pride in being able to offer a comprehensive selection of vehicles. A horse drawn hearse is also available upon request.
What to do with a loved one’s ashes
The final decision on what to do with a loved one's ashes can prove to be a difficult one. It is still more common to bury or scatter ashes.
Some options to consider are listed below:
-
Burial near a memorial plaque
-
In a garden of remembrance
-
Alongside the remains of another family member
-
Scattered at sea, in rivers or on mountains
-
Retained in a keepsake urn
-
Divided between family members
-
Scattered in a garden
To accommodate the growing number of families who opt for cremation, our urn collection includes biodegradable urns for scattering as well as traditional urns made of marble, wood, bronze, or ceramic. Styles range from understated and classic to ornate and decorative.
